Damascus Eyalet
Damascus Eyalet (Turkish: Şam Eyaleti) was an eyalet of the Ottoman Empire. Its reported area in the 19th century was 20,020 square miles (51,900 km2).[2] It became an eyalet after the Ottomans conquered it from the Mamluks in 1516.[3]
